Hannah Hester

My name is Hannah Hester, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Affinity Counseling & Wellness, PLLC.  We offer individual, group, couples, and family counseling, serving clients from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds. While working toward full licensure, I receive regular supervision from Susannah Cecil, MEd, LCMHCS, RYT at Affinity Counseling & Wellness, PLLC.

I have a special interest in working with children age 6 and older, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, low self-esteem, and substance use concerns.

My counseling approach is person-centered, meaning that I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgemental space where you feek heard, understood, and empowered.  Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Therapy, I use evidence-based techniques to create a personalized treatment approach that reflects each client’s unique needs and goals.  I also offer Christian faith-based counseling for clients who wish to incorporate their faith into counseling.

I believe counseling is built on collaboration, trust, and authenticity. Together, we will explore your experiences, strengthen your coping skills, and work toward the goals that matter most to you.  I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and I am honored to support you with compassion and encouragement along the way.
