Gabriel Guynn

My name is Gabriel Guynn and I am a Masters of Christian Counseling student working towards Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor at Affinity Counseling & Wellness, PLLC. I am under supervision of Susannah Cecil, LMHCS. We offer individual, group, couples, and family counseling, and serve clients from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds. My clinical experience includes work with adolescents and adults, as well as groups. I have a special interest in working with young adults, men, and couples, and evidence-based treatments for depression, anxiety, substance use, and relationship issues. I am fluent in Spanish and have extensive multicultural experience.

I believe that all good therapy is made in cooperation between the therapist and the client(s). A safe space to be heard and seen is critical and that is why I am excited to join Affinity this fall. I practice client or person-centered therapy (Rogerian) and believe that the client is the primary voice in the room. As well as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to provide an evidence-based approach prioritizing empowering clients to shape their journey.
