Gabriel Guynn
My name is Gabriel Guynn, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate at Affinity Counseling & Wellness, PLLC. I am under the supervision of Susannah Cecil, LCMHCS. We offer individual, group, couples, and family counseling, and serve clients from diverse backgrounds. My clinical experience includes work with adolescents (13+) and adults, as well as families, and groups. I have a special interest in working with young adults, men, and families, using evidence-based treatments for depression, anxiety, substance use, and relationship issues. I am fluent in Spanish and have extensive multicultural experience.
I believe that good therapy is made through cooperation between therapist and client(s) and only occurs in a safe space where clients feel heard and seen. I also believe the client is the primary voice in the room, and our goal is to empower clients to shape their own journey. My practice is person-centered therapy (Rogerian), and also draws from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Part-Work, and EMDR as needed.
