Hannah Hester

My name is Hannah Hester, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. I am completing my final internship semester at Affinity Counseling & Wellness, PLLC under the supervision of Sierra Felix, LCMHC as I work toward licensure. At Affinity, we provide individual, group, couples, and family counseling to people from a wide range of backgrounds.

My clinical experience includes working with individuals of all ages from children (8 and older), teens, and adults navigating concerns such as depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, and emotion dysregulation. My therapeutic approach is primarily person-centered and incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). For clients who desire it, I offer faith-based counseling from a Christian perspective.

My priority is to create an understanding, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and safe to grow and heal. I believe in holistic care that acknowledges emotional, physical, social, and spiritual wellness. Above all, I view the client as the expert of their own story, and my role is to guide and encourage them as they work toward their goals and build a fulfilling, joyful life.
