Kathy Walker
My name is Kathy Walker and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2024. I am a practicing counselor at Affinity Counseling & Wellness, PLLC. Affinity offers individual, group, couples, and family counseling, and we serve a wide variety of people from diverse backgrounds. I am under the supervision of Susannah Cecil, MEd, LCMHCS. My special interests include working with adults and adolescents, and for those who express interest, I offer faith-based counseling from a Christian perspective.
In counseling, it is important to look at people as a whole and provide an environment of safety and understanding. It is my desire to help individuals overcome personal struggles by using strategies that have been well researched. Combining sound strategies and an accepting environment creates room for personal growth. I use a person-centered approach to look at you as the unique person that you are. Together we will talk about the thoughts, feelings, and situations that make your life challenging. This may include experiences that have shaped your life. After identifying important issues, we can develop strategies to address challenges. You are not alone!
