Caitlin Thompson
My name is Caitlin Thompson and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate at Affinity Counseling & Wellness, PLLC. We offer individual, group, couples, and family counseling, and serve clients from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. I receive regular supervision with Susannah Cecil, LCMHCS, E-RYT at Affinity Counseling & Wellness, PLLC. She can be reached at (336) 893-9705 or at susannah@affinitycsg.com. My clinical experience includes working with individuals of all ages—children (7 and older), teens, and adults—as well as groups and families. I have a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing life transitions and adjustment difficulty, spiritual issues, and trauma.
My approach to therapy is primarily person-centered with an Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) lens. I am passionate about helping individuals make decisions, live, and thrive according to their own values and I believe that each person is the expert on themselves. My hope is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients as we work together toward growth and healing. I believe these elements are crucial to a strong therapeutic relationship wherein clients feel understood and valued.
